John 17: 22
Jesus said to them: "No one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and will be splilled, and the skins will be destroyed. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins" (Lk 5: 37-38). The book parallels old wine with desire (which stems from what you don't have and wants it), new wine with God's love (which abounds in plentitude and it's freely given), old wineskins with our psychophysical bodies and fresh wineskins with our spiritual bodies (1 Cor 15, 44b). The main idea of the book is that you need water to turn psychophysical bodies into spiritual ones.
